Keeping with the sartorial theme of the bright summer colors [see my last post with my fave neon skirt here], I ventured to find more color. And I found it. Turns out- I didn’t have to venture far. Actually, not far at all. My search lead me to a local bodega.

Any true New Yorker knows about the magic of a bodega. All hours of the day and night, the bodega has got you covered. Once in the morning for that fresh cup of new york coffee and your favorite breakfast sandwich all the way through the night when you just want a late night snack.

So I chose the items for this post in search of the perfect pop of color. After all, a little color never hurt anybody.

PS- That necklace took me 3 days of scouring German boutiques to find. Determined to buy the perfect necklace in each city that I visited during my semester abroad, I refused to return empty handed [often to the dismay of my friends]. On my last morning in Berlin, I ventured alone to the street with tons of shops I spotted earlier [it seemed the most promising] for one last attempt at the perfect buy. It was in the very last boutique, before I needed to head back to catch our flight, that I found this gem. I forget the store name, but I'll never forget the store owner. She had glistening skin that reminded me of tropical sand and blue eyes like that off the coast of a Caribbean island. Oh, and a gray feather in her golden blonde hair.
