abundantly clear
Recently, as I’ve been catching up with friends, seeing many of them for the first time since the pandemic began, I've been having loads of conversations that seem to bubble down to the same conclusion. So naturally, I decided to come to my sparkly corner of the internet to discuss with you all some of the ponderings I’ve been having over the last couple of weeks.
There’s one thing that’s become abundantly clear to me this past year and a half: time is finite.
Surely that’s not a revolutionary statement but more importantly what does that statement mean to me? It means that I am leaning into my ownership of how I spend my time-
-No more going to parties or events “because we have to” or “because it'll look bad if we don't”
-No more holding onto relationships that don’t serve us or are imbalanced
-No more apologizing for being our authentic selves
-No more feeling guilty for prioritizing ourselves
-No more dreaming small
….we simply just don't have the time.
Truthfully, I don’t think I’m necessarily saying anything that hasn’t been said before, but it has been game changing for me in how I spend my time and energy, both finite resources which I aim to protect as we re-emerge into the world.
Now tell me, what are you going to do to make the most of your time?
